Leaked WhatsApp Chats: ‘My Voice Cloned Through AI,’ Says Conman Sukesh

New Delhi: Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, accused in a Rs 200-crore money laundering and extortion case, has stated that dozens of ‘leaked’ WhatsApp messages between him and actor Jacqueline Fernandez were doctored and sought a CBI investigation into the incident. His voice was cloned through AI by the actor, he said in a statement on Wednesday. He also claimed that the international number allegedly used to send messages to Fernandez could easily be traced through the IP Address of the phone.

The conman demanded strict action in accordance with the law against the persons involved in creating these fake messages, The Indian Express reported. The messages were allegedly sent by Chandrashekhar to Fernandez from Delhi’s Mandoli jail.

Earlier this month, the actress moved a Delhi court seeking directions to immediately restrain Chandrasekhar from issuing letters, messages, or statements addressed to her.

Notably, Fernandez is a witness in the money laundering case against Chandrasekhar being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police. Chandrasekhar stated that Fernandez was merely trying to ‘sensationalize’ the issue to portray herself as a victim. “Since 2021 to mid of this year, multiple letters, expressing my emotions and concern for her, were released. Why did she never raise any issue then? As it was serving her purpose and her interest,” he said.

It was also alleged that Fernandez wanted to marry Chandrashekhar even after knowing all the allegations against him and that she visited him multiple times when he was on interim bail. “Is it believable that a Bollywood actress of her calibre could be fooled by hiding a real identity and have a serious relationship over a year….and that she was just a little child who did not know anything?” asked Chandrasekhar.

Referring to her as “Jackie”, the alleged conman also wished Fernandez a Merry Christmas.

“I hereby, Jackie, Wish You a Very Merry Christmas, and also wanted to tell you that by creating these fake chats and publishing it, what are you trying to prove to the world? That I am desperate for you? If that is what you want to show, then the world knows through my other actions that it is the fact that I am desperately in love with you. For this, you need not have to make an effort by creating such fake chats. It’s alright. It’s all fair in love and war,” he remarked.
