Matar Paneer Pulao
Though this dish looks simple, but every ingredient in justified quantity contributes to make it a perfect Paneer Pulao.
Let’s see how it can be cooked.
Take 100 gm paneer, one onion, one tomato, and mint leaves. Now, cook up the spices blended with oil, cumin seeds, black pepper pods, cardamom and mace in a pot.
Add chopped onions and 1 tablespoon of ginger and garlic paste in the oil. Stir them well on high flame with chopped tomatoes. Add some salt, turmeric, coriander and red chilli powder to the mixture followed by cooking it with boiled peas, paneer, and curd. Finally, add rice and water.
Your Matar Paneer Pulao will be ready in 10-15 minutes. Add coriander leaves and mint leaves for the seasoning on top.
Turmeric Pasta
Turmeric has various health benefits. But wait, did you try mixing it with pasta?
The process is simple. Just boil the pasta in a bowl. Make sure you reserve the cooking water for later.
Now with the help of butter, cook the chopped onions and garlic in a pan. Add some salt, pepper, and turmeric to the mixture.
Now, add cream and cheese slices to make the mixture creamy saucy. Stir well. You are now only a step behind to get your Turmeric Pasta. Add the pasta boiled earlier with the reserved cooking water to the pan and mix it well.
Sambar Sadam
Have you ever tried Sambar with Rice? The tangy turmeric and the spicy tadka of ingredients are what make it a perfect dish to satisfy your appetite during the lockdown.
To cook Sambar Sadam, heat oil in a small pan, in a pressure cooker. Now, add hing, curry leaves, mustard seeds and dried chilli powder. After cooking it for a minute, add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, sambar powder, ghee, chopped onions, potato and bottle gourd.
Leave the mixture for about three to four whistles, after adding toor dal, rice and water. Add tarmarind pulp after this. Now, mix the sambar and rice gently.
Vegetable Tehri
It’s one whistle dish and has various health benefits too.
Heat some oil in a pressure cooker and then add cumin seeds, bay leaf and black cardamom. Then, add chopped onions and chilli and fry until they get a golden look. Add ginger-garlic paste and stir the mixture for a minute.
Now, add various chopped vegetables like potato, tomato, peas, etc. and fry it for two to three minutes with coriander powder, garam masala, cumin, turmeric and salt.
Close the lid of the cooker after adding rice. The dish will be ready in few minutes.
