Bhubaneswar: Banks in Odisha will see a long weekend of closures starting with Rath Yatra, the annual sojourn of the Lords of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, on Friday (June 27).
This will mean a three-day weekend for customers since the banks will also remain closed on fourth Saturday (June 28) and Sunday (June 29), which are standard non-working days for most banks across the country.
While this could cause delays in loan disbursements, cheque clearances, and other branch-based services, digital banking services, including net banking, mobile apps, UPI, digital wallets, and ATMs, will remain fully functional during the holiday season, ensuring seamless online transactions.
