Low-Cost Airline Akasa Air Gets Govt NOC, To Take Flight In 2022
New Delhi: Come 2022, you will have another low-cost option to choose from in air travel.
Akasa Air, the airline venture backed by billionaire investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has received the necessary no-objection certificate (NOC) from Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Acording to SNV Aviation Private Limited, the airline has received the NOC to work with the regulator on all additional compliances.
SNV Aviation Private Limited will fly under the brand name Akasa Air, with operations expected to begin in the summer of 2022.
Former Jet Airways chief executive officer Vinay Dube will be the chief executive officer (CEO) of the low-cost airline.
