Low Pressure Forms Over Bay Of Bengal; Rain & Squally Weather Forecast
Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department on Saturday issued a warning of fresh low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean.
The system is likely to become more marked during next 48 hours, the IMD stated in its tweet.
Under its influence isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Nicobar Islands December 19. The IMD forecast squally weather, 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph, over Southeast Bay of Bengal on December 18 and over Southeast Bay of Bengal adjoining South Andaman Sea
on December 19 & 20.
A Low Pressure Area lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move east-northeastwards and become more marked during next 48 hours.
