Bhubaneswar: Noted lyricist Sameer Anjaan will attend the Prem Anand ghazal evening at Rabindra Mandap here on January 10.
Eight ghazals, written and composed by Ollywood’s popular music director Prem Anand will be performed at “Prem Anand Ghazal Sandhya 2022”. Odia Media is organising the programme.
Anjaan will attend the programme as the chief guest, informed Odia Media Director and writer Subhransu Panda.
Popular singers from Odisha Diptirekha, Sourav, Samikhya, Aroshish, Abhijeet, Shasanka Sekhar, Sri Charan and Biswajit will perform at the event. Popular lyricist Bijay Malla will coordinate the programme.
Anand has composed over 5,000 songs in Odia, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi and other Indian languages. He has already showcased his talent in opera, music albums, bhajans and advertisements.
For the first time, he has composed Odia songs in ghazal style and is making an album named ‘Antahswara’.
The event will be held maintaining all COVID guidelines, informed Panda. He also requested the audience to follow all COVID rules.
