Know How Odisha’s Madhu App Has Benefitted Students Of Ganjam District
Behrampur: Amid the lockdown of schools due to the pandemic, the Madhu app launched last December by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as a substitute to coaching classes, has proven useful to students of Ganjam district, reported The New Indian Express (TNIE).
The app, named after freedom fighter and social reformer Madhusudan Das, was developed by Emer Tech RnD Solutions in collaboration with Ganjam administration and is being used by 78,000 students in the district every day.
Teachers and a professional documentation team have made video lectures, exercises and test modules in the app for students from Class V to VIII, to help prepare for virtual tests.
However, despite nearly eight lakh downloads, the app remains inaccessible to students who do not have an internet facility and smartphones due to financial constraints.
