Maiden CII Beach Soccer: 10 Teams To Compete At Odisha’s Chandrabhaga Beach

Konark: In a first of its kind in Odisha, Beach Soccer 2021 will be held at Chandrabhaga Beach, Konark, on February 22 and 23.

The tournament, being organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, aims to integrate football and the coastline of Konark. ISL team Odisha Football Club (OFC) will be the technical partner of the event.

The 10 teams that will be vying for glory are Jindal Steel & Power, Nalco, Tata Steel, Gupta Power, Indian Oil, CSM, Paradeep Phosphates Limited, Paradeep Port Trust, GRIDCO and Capgemini. They have been divided into two groups.

All matches will be of 12-minute duration, with a 3-minute break in between.

Action will start on both days from 4 pm, with evening games being played under lights. The final will kick off at 6.30 pm on February 23.

Two exhibition matches have also been scheduled between CII and a women’s team on February 23.
