Mumbai: Singer and Fame Gurukul-fame Qazi Touqeer has been grabbing attention for his entertaining antics inside the ‘Bigg Boss 20’ house.
From his quirky moments to his unpredictable behaviour, Qazi has become a talking point among viewers, with several clips from the show and live feed making rounds online.
In a recent episode, the singer took his entertainment game a notch higher when he staged a bizarre late-night incident that left his fellow housemates frightened.
Pretending to have encountered something supernatural, Qazi managed to keep everyone on edge before eventually revealing that the entire episode was part of an act.
The housemates eventually stepped out of the bedroom and waited outside until Qazi calmed down. He later told the camera that the entire incident had been staged to entertain the audience.
He said, “I am controlling my laugh. I am having an Oscar-level performance. I am entertaining 100 crore people of India. It’s just beautiful. These guys think I am crazy.”
Later, when the housemates checked on Qazi and asked if he was okay, he remained in character, claiming, “She wanted me to laugh.” He continued pretending that he had seen a girl and was simply following her instructions.
While the housemates believed that Qazi was genuinely disturbed, he was actually playing along and fooling everyone around him.
The following morning, the contestants revealed that they had managed to sleep for only around four hours because of Qazi’s late-night antics.
In another clip, Qazi was seen talking to Arishfa Khan, during which he made yet another unusual claim.
He said, “Main normal insaan nahi hoon. Tum socho main 3 din mein 1 ghanta soya hoon fir bhi energetic hoon (I am not a normal person. I have slept only for 1 hour in 3 days and still I am energetic).”
Qazi’s remarks and flamboyant personality have already drawn comparisons with Bigg Boss 19 contestant Tanya Mittal, who often spoke about her lavish lifestyle and was known for getting on the nerves of her fellow housemates.
Following Qazi’s latest antics, several fans took to social media to point out similarities between the two contestants.
One fan wrote, “Qazi is Tanya Mittal’s male version.”
Another commented, “Aap Tanya Mittal ho.”
Another remarked, “Tanya Mittal ka bhatija.”
However, a section of viewers has also been enjoying Qazi’s quirky antics and entertaining personality.
One fan wrote, “He is giving full entertainment. Love him.”

Qazi Touqeer shot to fame in 2005 after winning Fame Gurukul alongside Ruprekha Banerjee. He was also part of the same season as singer Arijit Singh. Qazi later ventured into acting and music and was associated with the popular song Afghan Jalebi from Phantom.
Hosted by Salman Khan, ‘Bigg Boss 20’ follows the theme of ‘Tatasthu’ this season, allowing contestants to have two lives in the house.
This week, Amrapali Dubey, Love Gill, Arishfa Khan and Kanika Mann have been nominated. However, there will be no elimination, with one contestant set to lose one of their lifelines instead.
