Odisha Fights Corona: Maintain Details Of Customers Or Face Action, Traders Told In Ganjam & Keonjhar
Berhampur: Amid spiralling corona positive cases, the Ganjam administration on Wednesday directed all trading and business establishments to maintain a contact diary for customers.
District collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said that the shop owners have been directed to keep a record of the address and phone number of each customer, failing which the administration will seal the shops and collect a fine of Rs 1000 from them.
They have been asked to wear mask and gloves and ensure proper implementation of social distancing norms, he said.
All shopkeepers will follow social distancing norms. Use mask & gloves. Sanitizer for customers. Circle ⭕️ for 2 m distancing. No mask no goods Board. Most important to maintain CONTACT DIARY for customer.

“Besides, the shop owners have been directed not to provide any essential commodity to any customer if he/she has not put on a mask,” he added.
The Keonjhar district administration had passed a similar order on Tuesday, directing merchants/shop-keepers/ businessmen to keep date-wise information of customers visiting their premises in a register for verification by enforcement officers as and when required. It has also releases a pro forma for the same.
