Major Temples Reopen To Devotees In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Major temples in the district were reopened to the devotees, as announced by the local administration, on Wednesday amid COVID-19 restrictions.

A large number of devotees stood in long queues in front of the temples from early hours of the day. Expecting the rush of people, the authorities of the temples had made adequate arrangements to ensure hassle-free darshan of the deities from 7.30 am to 6 pm.

The visitors were asked to produce negative test report of COVID-19 before being allowed entry to the temples. Besides, other restrictions like thermal scanning at the entrance, maintaining social distancing, use of hand sanitiser and masks were also enforced.

The prominent temples in the district that reopened included Remuna Khirachora Gopinath Temple, Nilagiri Jagannath, Panchalingeswar, Mallikashpur Imami Jagannath and Bhograi Chandanedwar Shiva temple.
