COVID Count: Overwhelming Majority Of Local Contacts Among 27 New Cases In Odisha’s Koraput

Jeypore: The number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha’s Koraput district rose to 381 on Thursday with 27 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Among them, 22 are contacts of previous positive cases. Three others were reported from quarantine centres and two from home quarantine.

One is a returnee from Andhra Pradesh, and two had travel history to Gajapati and Puri districts.

Details:

  • 14 cases are from Koraput municipality. Among them, 10 are from DNK Colony, two from OMP and one each from Amin Lane and Police Lines.
  • Five cases are from Koraput block. Of them, three are of Kalahandi Colony, Damanjodi and two are from Mathalput near Damanjodi.
  • One is from Sunabeda municipality.
  • One is from Doliamba in Laxmipur block.
  • Two are from a temporary medical centre (TMC) at ITI, Pottangi.
  • Three are from Jeypore municipality. Of them, two are from Jayanagar and one from Chiliguda.
  • One patient is from the TMC at Government High School in Boipariguda.

With 155 recoveries, Koraput district has 226 active cases at present.
