Majority Local Contacts Among New COVID-19 Cases In Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: The COVID-19 tally in Mayurbhanj district touched 603 on Tuesday with 22 more persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Among them, nine cases have been reported from quarantine centres, 11 from local contacts while one is a Corona Warrior in Sukruli block and another in home quarantine.

Ten among those infected have a travel history to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Telengana and Maharashtra.

Contact tracing of all these cases is underway, the administration tweeted.

With 432 patients having recovered from the infection so far, the district now has 169 active cases.
