Dhenkanal: A man died and his daughter sustained critical injuries in an accident at Ranapasi area under Dhenkanal Sadar police limits on Wednesday.
The deceased are Naba Kishore Pani (47) and daughter Purnima of Khairapasi village near Parajanga.
As per sources, the accident occurred when Naba Kishore was returning home with his daughter on a bike. His two-wheeler hit against a truck from the rear after he lost control over the vehicle. He died on the spot while Purnima was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital.
Sadar police seized the body and investigation is on.
