Jeypore: A man was found dead while his wife rescued in critical condition from their house at B Singipur village under Borigumma block in Odisha’s Koraput district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Prasanna Acharya.
The woman, Sudhamani, was rescued by neighbours and admitted to Borigumma Community Health Centre.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police rushed to the spot.
Sources in the locality said the miscreants may have attacked the couple over past enmity.
“We have sent the body for post-mortem and started investigation, Borigumma Police said.
