Bhubaneswar: Bharatpur police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually abusing a woman and her eight-year-old daughter in broad daylight at Baramunda bus terminal in Bhubaneswar.
The accused has been identified as Pabitra Kanhar (39) of Begunipada in Ganjam district.

According to police sources, the incident took place on Sunday when the woman dozed off while waiting for a bus with her daughter. He behaved inappropriately with the child and later attempted to rape the woman following which she woke up and raised an alarm.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by the woman, police examined CCTV footage and nabbed the accused, who has been booked under various sections of BNS as well as POCSO Act.
