Maoist Killed In Exchange Of Fire With Security Forces

Malkangiri: A Maoist was killed in an exchange of fire with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at Bandhuguda forest in Chitrakonda of Malkangiri district on Friday. On 15th December at about 0700 hrs, an exchange of fire took place between Maoists and BSF troops in forest area Lukapani under Pepermetla PS of Malkangiri district. The encounter lasted for half an hour.

A huge cache of explosives and an SLR gun two magazines with a total of 54 live rounds of 7.62 mm were recovered from the Maoist, Malkangiri SP Jagmohan Meena informed.
Following the encounter, combing operations have been intensified in the area.
Ammunition recovered
On Thursday, at least eight ultras were gunned down by police at Nedamudugu forest in Telengana near Malkangiri border.
The encounter took place after police raided a Maoist camp in the area.
Six guns and several detonators were seized from the encounter spot.
