Marginal Rise In Daily COVID Caseload In Odisha; 60% Of New Cases From Khurda & Cuttack
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a marginal rise in daily COVID caseload on Saturday as 695 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Of them, 83 are in the age group of 0-18 years, which is 11.94 per cent of the new cases.
The daily infection count was 628, 580 and 457 on Friday, Thursday and Wednesday respectively.
According to the I & PR Department, 401 of the new infections are from quarantine and 294 local contacts. Khurda (323) and Cuttack (90) accounted for 59.42 per cent of these cases. Bargarh, Balangir, Boudh, Koraput, and Nuapada have reported nil cases.

Besides, 76 are the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 65,512 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 1.06 per cent.
Odisha now has 5,876 active cases.
