MAS Holdings Chairman Meets Naveen, Expresses Intent To Open Textile Unit In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: MAS Holdings, a global apparel conglomerate, has evinced interest in setting up a textile manufacturing unit in Odisha.

Mahesh Amalean, Chairman of MAS Holdings, informed this during a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Amalean showed the portfolio of his company and expressed keen interest for investment in the state.

“The company is interested in setting up an integrated textile and apparel manufacturing facility in Odisha. The project can provide employment to more than 5,000 persons,” he said.

During the discussion, the Chief Minister said the government will provide all possible support to the company for the project. It was planned to invite the apparel company to set up its unit in Khurda.

The government will provide necessary land and facilitate tie ups to establish supply chain and skill development centres. Besides, it will extend support in terms of skilling and industrial eco-system development, said a release from CMO. 5-T Chairman VK Pandian was present during the discussion.
