Bhubaneswar: Nabaneet Priyadarshi, a Class XII student of DAV Public School, Unit-8, has topped JEE Main 2025 session 1 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) in Odisha with 99.98 percentile.
He has secured AIR-26, according to the result published by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday.
Nabaneet credited his success to his parents, teachers and the school. “I’m very happy with my results but never expected to top in the state. Currently, my full focus is on the Boards, but I will begin my preparations for Advanced and Session 2 soon,” the elated boy told the media.
He revealed that he would study for 8-9 hours every day without fail. “I would give four mock tests every week. I started my preparation from December. I would practice Physics and Maths in the evening and study Chemistry in the morning. My aim is to join computer science at IIT Bombay and and contribute to the field of Artificial Intelligence for society’s development,” said Nabaneet, whose favourite subject is Maths.
He is the son of Jatindra Kumar Patra, an officer in the state secretariat, and Sabita Patra, a home maker.
Over 12.5 lakh candidates had appeared for Paper 1 exam was conducted between January 22 and January 29, 2025, in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 618 centres in 304 cities, including 15 centres located outside India. Fourteen among them achieved the perfect NTA score of 100 with maximum of them being from Rajasthan.
