Mumbai: When Shah Rukh Khan met his son Aryan at Arthur Road prison on Thursday morning, the Bollywood superstar was not accorded any special treatment.
The meeting lasted 15 to 20 minutes, PTI reported quoting prison officials.
Shah Rukh’s documents were checked before entry to the jail premises, like it is done with family members of all undertrial prisoners.
Physical meetings, which had thus far been barred due to COVID-19, resumed on Thursday and Shah Rukh Khan was one of the first to be allowed inside the Arthur Road Jail.
Once his documents were verified, Shah Rukh was given a token for his meeting with Aryan.
A glass fencing separated father and dad, who spoke on the intercom in the presence of four security guards.
Aryan, arrested in the rave party cruise drugs case, has been lodged in Arthur Road prison since October 8. His bail plea was on Wednesday rejected by a special court and he will have to be in prison till at least October 26, when Bombay High Court will hear a fresh bail petition.
