New Delhi: A day after Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni posted a selfie with ‘good friend’ Narendra Modi with the hashtag ‘Melodi’, the Indian PM responded.
Retweeting Meloni’s post, Modi wrote: “Meeting friends is always a delight.”

The Italian PM’s selfie with Modi, posted with the caption “Good friends at COP28 #Melodi”, was taken on sidelines of the COP28 climate meeting in Dubai on Friday.
It went viral on social media and became a top trend on X within hours. It has garnered 26.8 million views since being posted at 11.16 pm IST on Friday, and counting.
An X handle named Narendra Modi Fan posted a picture of Meloni clicking the selfie and wrote: “Selfie of the Day”.

#Melodi has been doing the rounds on social media since September, when the two leaders met during the G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi.
The camaraderie between the two PMs was striking. The shutterbugs had clicked away as the two leaders shook hands, exchanged pleasantries and burst into laughter following a brief conversation.
Such a joyful moment was repeated during the COP28 meet in Dubai.
