Men’s World Cup 2018: India’s Heart Beats For Hockey
Bhubaneswar: With less than four months left for the Men’s Hockey World Cup, the Odisha government has launched a 360 degree nation-wide publicity campaign, ‘Heartbeats for Hockey’.
It is a movement that attempts to get India behind the game through music, entertainment, fashion, sports and panel discussion.
Every time someone holds the custom-made hockey stick, named ‘Heart Beat’, their heart beat will be recorded as a pledge to support hockey. The ‘Heart Beat’ will take a round of the country through ‘Hockey Adda’, a curated on-ground discussion platform for hockey players and experts.
The Sports and Youth Department tweeted about the campaign as published in the Business Standard.

The Odisha government has also started putting up ads on buses in London to promote the Men’s Hockey World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018, through the campaign ‘Odisha by Morning, Hockey by Evening’. It is an attempt to showcase Bhubaneswar as a sporting venue and Odisha as a tourist destination.
The state is the title partner for the hockey event and Odisha Tourism is the host partner. The maximum players in the national team are also from Odisha.
