London: After a positive response from the EQC electric SUV, Mercedes-Benz has expanded its electric line-up by revealing the EQA – the GLA based electric crossover.
The EQA features a glossy front fascia and full-LED headlights and rear wraparound LED light bar. There are dual displays in the dashboard, one for the instrument cluster and other for MBUX infotainment system.
The EQA will have two design packs – Electric Art and AMG Line. It comes with leather interiors and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The Electric Vehicle (EV) is powered by a single electric motor producing 188 BHP. The lithium battery is 66.5 kWh and offers a maximum range of 486 km according to NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). Expect real-world numbers to be lower. There will be a dual-motor version with 500 km range later.
There is no word on the pricing and its availability in India. It is, however, safe to say Mercedes might bring this to India as the more premium Rs 1 crore EQC has been received well here and is all sold out.
