Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued thunderstorm warning for 10 districts of the state.
The districts are Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
According to a bulletin issued in this regard, thunderstorm accompanied by hailstone showers are expected to occur at these districts between 3.45 pm and 7.45 pm.
Gusty surface wind speed reaching up to 50 to 60 kmph is likely to prevail in these areas.
The Met has also advised people residing in the above districts to stay indoors during these hours.
Meanwhile, Balangir recorded the highest temperature of 39 degrees Celsius while Sundargarh district was the lowest at 18 degrees Celsius.
