Xiaomi’s popular phablet, Mi Max has come up with an upgrade after 14 long months. The Mi Max 3 is the latest iteration of the budget big screen phone series.
As expected, the Mi Max 3 will feature a big 6.9 inch full HD+ display and a mammoth 5500 mAh battery. There is no notch in the design though. The Mi Max 3 measures 176.15×87.4×7.99mm and weighs 221 grams.
The dual rear cameras are vertically mounted. The rear camera has a 12-MP primary sensor and a 5-MP secondary sensor, both having f/1.9 aperture. There is AI portrait mode and a dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 8-MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and has a soft selfie light.
The prices in China have been announced. The base 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,699 (approx Rs. 17,300) and the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,400).
Like most Xiaomi’s phones, the Mi Max 3 will have MIUI skin on top of Android. It is powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC and Adreno 509 GPU. RAM is available in 4GB and 6GB combinations along with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. There is an expandable memory (up to 256 GB) slot too.
It comes in 3 colors – Dark Blue, Dream Gold, and Meteorite Black.
The phone supports Quick Charge 3.0 18W charging.
