Bhubaneswar: The contribution of the mining sector to Odisha revenue has increased 10 times growth in 5 years from Rs 4,900 crore in 2016-17 to Rs 50,000 crore in 2021-22.

This was stated by chief secretary Pradip Kumar Jena at 77th annual technical meeting of the Indian Institute of Metals and National Metallurgist Awards (IIM-ATM 2023 & NMA), held at KIIT Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar.
