Malkangiri: A girl student of Class VI was found hanging in a private hostel under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Sunday.
As er reports, the 11-year-old girl belonging to MPV-130 village under Kalimela police limits in the district was studying in a private school at MV-7 village under Malkangiri Sadar block. She was staying in the private hostel, Shri Ganesh, in the village.
The hostel officials found her hanging in a toilet of the hostel in the morning and rushed her to the district headquarters hospital (DHH). But the doctors declared her brought dead and suspected that her death took place several hours earlier.
On being informed, police went to the hospital and sent the body for post-mortem. The girl’s family, who came to the DHH on knowing her death from police, raised doubt over suicide of their minor daughter. They alleged that she was murdered by somebody.
Reacting to the allegation, the police said they were investigating the case from all angles. The exact cause of death would be known after getting the post-mortem report and accordingly necessary steps would be taken, they said.
