Umerkote: Chandahandi police from Haryana rescued a minor boy hailing from Nabarangpur district’s Kharapadihi village in Odisha on Saturday. Pradeep Majhi (14) went missing while travelling to Chhattisgarh searching for work. The cops handed over the boy to his family on Sunday.

Following a local dhaba owner’s video seeking help came to the fore, Pradeep’s whereabouts were traced to Rewari district in Haryana. According to sources, the boy had left his house in search of work. He boarded a truck to Raipur from Deobhog village on the Chhattisgarh border, reported The New Indian Express.

However, Pradeep was left by the truck driver near a dhaba in Rewari district in Haryana. The dhaba owner Sarjit Gunjar accommodated the boy and later shot a video and shared the boy’s details so that he can return home.

Soon after the video went viral, Nabarangpur SP ordered Chandahandi police to track the boy. The police team acted quickly and rescued Pradeep. Pradeep’s father Janardhan Majhi expressed his gratitude to Nabarangpur police.
