Phulbani: A minor girl, who had earlier brought molestation charges against the headmaster of her school, has lodged a fresh police complaint alleging that she was not only molested but also raped.
Though the incident had taken place at a residential school near Daringbadi in Kandhamal district about one month ago, the matter came to the light on Monday after the girl, who returned home for vacation, narrated the ordeal to her sister.
According to the survivor, the headmaster called her to his office and started touching her inappropriately. He also threatened her with dire consequences, if she revealed the matter to anyone.
Following which, her family members lodged a complaint at Daringbadi police station and demanded stringent action against the headmaster.
“Investigation into the case is on and the accused will be arrested soon. The district administration will be requested to take steps for rehabilitation of the girl. She will be provided admission in another school,” Kandhamal SP Pratik Singh.
