Kendrapada: Two unidentified miscreants looted Rs 2.90 lakh from a village level worker near Bagada panchayat in Kendrapada district on Wednesday.
The incident occurred when the victim, identified as Ramesh Chandra Das, was returning home along with his office peon on a motorcycle after withdrawing allowance money from a bank.
According to the complaint lodged by Ramesh, two motorcycle-borne youths suddenly hit the two-wheeler he was riding from behind. As soon as the duo fell off the bike, the miscreants held them at gunpoint and decamped with the money.
