Jharsuguda: In a daring act of robbery, unidentified miscreants allegedly used a JCB excavator to uproot and loot a bank ATM in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.
According to sources, the incident took place at the ATM kiosk of the Central Bank of India at BTM Chhak under Sadar police limits of Jharsuguda in the wee hours of Thursday.
After receiving information about the incident, a police team visited the spot and launched an investigation.
The police also detained the owner of the excavator used in the crime for questioning as part of the investigation.
Further investigation is in progress to identify and nab the culprits.
Though the police managed to recover the stolen ATM, which was found in a broken condition, the cash present in it was missing.
