New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi and Congress are leaving no stone unturned to make their presence felt in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Seeking to give BJP a run for their money after a series of electoral debacles, Rahul embarked on the Bharat Jodo Yatra in September.
Even as it’s in the last leg, having entered Punjab and due to end in Kashmir in January end, the grand old party is ready with its next mega campaign to reach out to the masses.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh announced the Hath Se Hath Jodo Yatra from Republic Day, wherein party workers will go to every panchayat, block and house to communicate with voters and receive first-hand feedback from them.
“We will start the Hath Se Hath Jodo programme from January 26, in which we will go door-to-door with Rahul Gandhi’s letter and go to every panchayat, every block of the village. A chargesheet will also be brought against the Modi government,” said Ramesh.
Under the campaign, which will continue for two months, Congress workers will go door-to-door with Rahul’s letter and a ‘chargesheet’ against PM Narendra Modi-led government’s failure will also be delivered to every household.
Rahul’s letter will be written in local and regional languages, and he will share his experience of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Around 2.5 lakh gram panchayats, 6 lakh villages and over 10 lakh polling stations will be covered under Hath Se Hath Jodo Yatra.
A Mahila yatra and padyatra will also be held in every state capital under Hath Se Hath Jodo Yatra.
