Mithun Chakraborty Discharged From Hospital; Why Did PM Modi Scold Actor-Politician?
Kolkata: Mithun Chakraborty has been discharged from a private hospital here on Wednesday.
The 73-year-old actor-politician was hospitalised on Saturday after he complained of severe chest pain.
Mithun said he was ‘absolutely fine’, reported PTI.
“There is actually no problem, I am absolutely fine. I have to keep control of my food habits. Let’s see, I may start working soon, maybe tomorrow,” Mithun said.
A former Rajya Sabha MP nominated by Trinamool Congress, Mithun joined the BJP in March 2021 at a rally in Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground in Narendra Modi’s presence, revealed that he had received a call from the Prime Minister on Sunday.
The PM scolded the veteran actor “for not taking care of his health.”
Apollo Hospital, where he was admitted, earlier stated in a press release that Mithun was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (stroke) of the brain. A team of senior doctors and therapists reviewed his health condition. He also underwent a series of clinical tests, including an MRI.
Mithun, who has acted in over 350 films, was recently named as a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award.
