New Delhi: Digest this if you can. An MLA from Bihar’s ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) was spotted walking in his undergarments on a train.
A day after photos of the incident went viral on social media, MLA Gopal Mandal blamed an upset stomach for his sartorial choice.
“I was in an underwear and vest. I had just boarded the train and had an upset stomach. I do not lie,” the MLA told the media on Friday.

The incident was reported from a first class compartment of the Delhi-bound Tejas Rajdhani Express on Thursday. The train was coming from Patna.
Other passengers objected to the MLA’s display and it almost led to a fight. The Railway Police Force (RPF) and a ticket examiner had to step in to resolve the problem.
