New Delhi: This man from MP is no less than Shahjahan! To commemorate his love for his wife, Anand Chokse from MP’s Burhanpur built a replica of the Taj Mahal and gifted it to her.
He wonders why the Mughal emperor built the Taj Mahal in Agra and not Burhanpur, where Mumtaaz died.
The stonework and construction mimics the original. Chokse’s Taj Mahal has four bedrooms. It took him three years to get the construction work done. The raw material was shipped in from various parts of the country.
The flooring is from Rajasthan and the furniture is handcrafted by artisans in Mumbai. The house also has a 29-ft high arched dome. Apart from the four bedrooms, the house also includes a meditation room and a library.
