Modi’s Big Decision After Ram Mandir Event: Govt To Instal Solar Panels On 1 Crore Houses

New Delhi: Hours after presiding over the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram templem Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Central government will install rooftop solar panels on 1 crore houses across the country as part of the ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’, an initiative to generate electricity through solar energy.

Modi chaired a meeting with officials and shared on X pictures of him reviewing the solar panels. He also wrote about his first decision after returning from Ayodhya.

“All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram. Today, on the auspicious occasion of consecration in Ayodhya, my resolution got further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar rooftop system on the roof of their houses,” PM Modi said.

“The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’ with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses,” he added.

Solar panels will not only reduce electricity bill of the poor and middle-class, but also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.

After completing formalities of Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Modi said that the consecration event of the Ram Lalla idol marked the advent of a new era.

“Ram is not fire but energy, Ram is not dispute but solution, Ram is not merely ours but of everyone and Ram is not only the present but also eternal,” the PM said.

The temple was a symbol of peace, patience, harmony and amity in Indian society, he asserted.
