Money-Laundering Case: ED Summons 86-Yr-Old Farooq Abdullah Again

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned another Opposition leader ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

After Hemant Soren, who was subsequently arrested, and Arvind Kejriwal, it’s the turn of 86-year-old Farooq Abdullah.

The veteran Jammu & Kashmir politician has been called in an alleged money-laundering case related to the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

The case concerns siphoning of JKCA funds, which were allegedly being transferred to personal bank accounts of various people, including office-bearers of the association.

Srinagar MP Abdullah had been summoned last month, but he didn’t appear in front of ED officials citing health reasons.
