Money Talks In US Election: Elon Musk Offers $1 Million Every Day To Do This

New York: If you have money, you can do anything.

Look no farther than Elon Musk.

The billionaire promised to give away $1 million every day until the November 5 US Presidential election to someone who signs his online petition supporting the US Constitution, reported Reuters.

In the latest example of Musk using his huge wealth to try and influence the tightly-contested race between Trump and his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, Musk kept his word on Saturday and handed over a $1 million cheque to the first winner — one John Dreher – from those who attended his Trump campaign event in Pennsylvania.

“By the way, John had no idea. So anyway, you’re welcome,” the X CEO and Tesla founder said as he handed the cheque to Dreher.

Musk started America PAC, a political action organisation in support of Trump’s Presidential campaign. PAC is helping mobilise and register voters in battleground states.

Voters are urged to sign America PAC’s petition to protect the First and Second Amendments.

The petition reads: “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.”

The goal is to get 1 million signatures from voters in key swing states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona.

“We are going to be awarding $1 million to randomly selected people who have signed the petition every day from now until the election,” announced Musk.

Frustrated with the lack of media coverage, Musk quipped, “How do we get people to know about this petition? This news is going to really fly.”

Musk said on Saturday that if Harris wins, it will be “the last election,” suggesting the US will no longer exist.

A grateful Trump has said if elected, he would appoint Musk to head a government efficiency commission.
