More Bad News For PUBG Mobile Fans In India

New Delhi: Fans of PUBG Mobile have to wait longer with chances of the mobile gaming app returning to India anytime soon seeming bleak.

Notably, PUBG and 117 other apps were banned in the second wave of Chinese app ban in India. The mobile gaming app was also removed from app stores in the country.

Following this, the parent company of PUBG Corp had taken away the publishing rights of the mobile app from Tencent. This gave hopes to PUBG fans that the app will make a comeback in India, but now the chances do not seem so bright.

The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has said that it is in no hurry to bring the game back in India. “The violent nature of the game has been the cause of many complaints from all quarters. That does not change with the change in ownership rights,” news agency Reuters quoted an unnamed government source as saying.

It is important to note that PUBG Mobile was banned in India, but not the web or the console version of the gaming platform.
