Malkangiri: The entire Motu police station has been declared as containment zone and all the personnel have been sent to quarantine centre.
The personnel of the police station along with security forces were deployed at Motu border check point after thousands of migrants started returning to Odisha in the wake of lockdown. The police with the help of health officials not only screened the migrants but also ensured their safe journey to the destinations through various means.
After a jawan of the security forces deployed at the check post tested corona positive, the district administration declared the police station as containment zone and police personnel including the IIC, sub-inspector and other officials were sent to quarantine centre.
The personnel of MV 79 police station have been deployed to man the check post on the border.
