Mountaineer Sidharth Routray Shares Experience Of Scaling 3 Top Peaks With Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: Odia Mountaineer Sidharth Routray met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in his assembly chamber on Friday and shared his experiences of mountaineering.

He has till now scaled three summits of three continents – Mt Dennali in North America, Mt Aconcagua in South America and Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa.

He had scaled the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere reaching the height of 22,834 ft/6959 metres on January 13, 2022.

Sidharth is on a mission to scale all 7 summits of seven continents of the world and fly the Indian flag and the flag (Baanaa) of Jagannath Temple.

The Chief Minister appreciated his feat and wished him success for future endeavours.

Awarded as the first Ironman from Odisha in 2016, Siddharth is the son of Jatani MLA Suresh Kumar Routray. Sidharth had completed the Ultraman Florida Race on February 13, 2022. He finished this three-day, 515 km multisport race in 31 hours 55 minutes. The triathlon includes 10 km of open-water swimming, 421 km cross-country cycling and an 84 km ultra-marathon run.

He is currently staying in Silicon Valley in the USA and is the Managing Director at a California-based company.
