Mumbai: Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s performance in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ was quite impressive and was lauded by his fans and cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni too.
Earlier, reports had suggested that the actor was going to be roped in for playing the lead in its sequel too.
But after his tragic death, Dhoni’s manager and the co-producer of the biopic, Arun Pandey stated that the sequel of the film is not possible with Sushant Singh Rajput.
After Sushant’s demise on June 14, Pandey said, “A sequel has been long crossing his mind and there were thinking of coming up with something at some point of time but given what happened today, everything is now meaningless.”
Sushant had worked hard for months to get into the character of former team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The actor also took training under former India wicket-keeper batsman Kiran More to learn about Dhoni’s style of playing the game.
Sushant had also taken note of every detail of Dhoni’s mannerisms and body language to portray the character of the cricketer onscreen.
