Mumbai Cops Rush To Protect Rhea Chakraborty Against ‘Life Threat’
Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in Sushant Singh Rajput case, on Thursday requested the Mumbai Police to provide protection to her and her family alleging threat to their lives.
According to a Times Now report, the Mumbai cops reached Rhea’s residence just within an hour following her request.
The Jalebi actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a video in which her father was seen being hounded by media personnel outside her residence.
“The man in this video is my father Indrajit Chakraborty (retd. army officer). We have been trying to get out of our house to cooperate with ED, CBI, and various investigation authorities,” she posted along with the video.
“There is a threat to my life and my family’s life. We have informed the local police station and even gone there, no help provided. We have informed the investigation authorities to help us get to them, no help arrived. How is this family going to live?” wrote the actress.
“We are only asking for assistance, to cooperate with the various agencies that have asked us. I request @mumbaipolice to please provide protection so that we can cooperate with these investigation agencies. In COVID times, these basic law and order restrictions need to be provided. Thank you,” she added.
She shared another video in which the security guard of her building claimed being attacked by the mob outside her residence.
Notably, when Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law had requested Mumbai Police to provide protection to the actor, the cops had sought a written complaint. No protection was provided to the actor.
Now, did Rhea Chakraborty give a written complaint to Mumbai cops?
