Mysore-Darbhanga Express Collides With Goods Train Near Chennai, Fire In 2 Coaches
Chennai: The 12578 Mysore-Darbhanga Express collided with a stationary goods train near Kavaraipettai railway station, around 40 km from Chennai, at around 8.30 pm on Friday.
A fire broke out in two coaches of the express train, while four to five coaches have derailed.

Rescue operations are in full swing, said Thiruvallur District Collector T Prabhushankar.
Like always, local people were the first to rush to the spot on receiving news of the mishap. They are working with rescue and relief personnel to evacuate passengers.
Republic TV quoted Railway officials as saying that there are no fatalities, but several people have been injured.
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams and ambulances have been rushed to the spot.
Southern Railway officials have rushed to the spot. A medical relief van is also on way.
