Lucknow: Residents of Rampur in Uttar Pradesh had a harrowing time.
In what was a nightmare for them, a naked woman roamed around the area and rang doorbells randomly in the middle of the night. Once the door was opened, there was no one to be seen.
After the people in Milak town lodged a complaint, police probed the incident and found a woman actually going around at night and disturbing residents.
Images of the woman were also caught on CCTV, and several videos of the woman went viral on social media as well.
Rampur Police found out that the woman was suffering from some mental health issues.
They got in touch with the woman’s family and were informed that she was being treated in Bareilly for five years.
“The mystery around a woman roaming around naked in Milak town has been solved. The woman has some mental health issues and has been undergoing medical treatment in Bareilly district for the last five years,” a police official said.
The police have asked the woman’s family to keep a watch on her.
Cops have also appealed to local people not to share misleading information on social media groups. They urged residents to clothe the woman if spotted and then inform the nearest police station.
