Balasore: Mystery shrouds the death of an unidentified woman whose nude body in decomposed condition was found from an abandoned house in Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday.
According to sources, some locals detected foul smell coming out of the house near Loknath temple under Sahadevkhunta police limits in the district in the morning. On checking inside the house, they found the body of the woman and informed the police.
A team from Sahadevkhunta police station went to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. They have registered a case and started investigation.
While the identity of the deceased woman has not been confirmed, she might have died two to three days back, police sources said. But they could not ascertain the cause of her death nor how she came to the place.
