Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park and Botanical Garden in Bhubaneswar will remain open to the public on January 26 (Monday) on the occasion of Republic Day.
The decision to keep the zoo open is a temporary deviation from its regular operating schedule. The zoo normally remains closed on Mondays.
Zoo officials said that visitors will be allowed to enter the park on the national holiday. Consequently, the weekly closure will be shifted to Tuesday, ensuring that the public can enjoy the facilities on Republic Day, which falls on a Monday this year.
The modification will enable visitors to enjoy in the Republic Day festivities at the zoological park and botanical garden, which are popular destinations for families and tourists. A large number of people visit the park, particularly on holidays, weekends and festive seasons.
