Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr Harsh Vardhan on Sunday conferred National Award for Outstanding Efforts in Science & Technology Popularisation among Children on Dr Mihir Kumar Panda, a young engineer from Odisha.
Dr Vardhan gave away awards to science communicators and women scientists on National Science Day through a virtual function. He also conferred an appreciation shield on National Science and Technology database developers.
Dr Panda of Icchapur village in Balasore district has invented more than 10,000 utility items that would be helpful for development of the society. He has also invented more than 30,000 scientific projects.
