Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Rima Bhoi claimed a gold and a bronze in the 58 kg Senior category at the IWLF National Weightlifting Championship 2025-26 in Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The 23-year-old Rima had won gold in 59 kg category, at last year’s National Games as well as Khelo India National League.

Ankita Pradhan, another Odisha lifter, bagged bronze in the 58 kg Youth category.
On the second day of the Nationals, Olympic medallist Mirabai Chanu rewrote three records.
Competing in the 48kg category, Chanu produced a 205 kg lift to set national records in the snatch, clean and jerk, and overall total. The Indian weightlifter thus bettered the total lift record by 6 kg.
